Based in Amarillo, Smith and his family own acreage around the Texas Panhandle plus additional land from Waco to Eastern New Mexico. Smith devotes most of his holdings to cattle. The varied terrain he calls his own is also home to mule deer, bobcats, possums, and more than a hundred species of birds.
